We didn’t quite start at the beginning of August so we’re still a little behind with the things to do for August. It takes a while to get the preparation work done when first starting SEO for a site. I have created over 200 pages for this site (with keywords and all the surrounding cities) which I will upload here within the next week. It’s all behind the scenes work so it seems that nothing is going on, but we’re getting there:) Also, the pages are getting picked up by search engines, but it’s not linked in the menus, because it’s not pages you want your customers to see. I will sent you guys links as soon as they are all live, so you can see what I’ve done.

I have not had a chance to fix Paypal and the forms but will be giving that my full attention now before I upload those pages. There was no traffic coming to it up until now, but after this week the traffic will start to dramatically increase so we now need those things to work right. The forms has been directed to me up until now, so no worries though.

Please hold off with making another payment until we’re done with all these things and finished the first month’s worth of work (which is by far the most work)

This is Eugene’s wife, Kristin. He’s been really busy with jobs and other chores this last while and he has asked me to look over the website and what not. This is all really new to me and he wants me to try and make sure everything is good. I hope you had a great Labor day weekend, but I was wondering if you or Toni could please give me a call some time today or let me know when a good time to call either one of you would be. I have both of your numbers in email. Please just let me know when I can bug you for awhile with my questions on understanding everything that is going on. I do have a few things that need to be fixed as well… such as the Paypal button not working (doesn’t do anything when try to click on it) and we tried to request for an estimate to find where it gets sent to and Eugene did not receive anything. So if people are trying to get a hold of us for an estimate they are not getting any responses. Which is the same story when someone tries to contact us on the contact page.

Anyways, I will check back on here a little later to see if you have replied or you can leave an email. Been missing you two at church, we haven’t been attending CBC on a regular basis lately and when we do go it’s at the later service. Hope all is well and God Bless!

Some specific things that need to be changed asap are:
1)Please put the mobile number (503-380-0688) in bold at the top and on the contact page, it is answered more;
2) I realize it is wrong in some places on our old website as well, but our certification is IICR-Certified: The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), it is spelled wrong on the “home” page and on the tab going to the “about us” page as long as title of that same page;
3) Information about what to expect under the service area tab: (during visit, current 3rd line down) “very carefully move tables, sofas, and chairs; all other furniture or misc items must be moved by the home owner or it can stay in it’s position and will be cleaned around”. (during visit, current 6th line down) “Will return the furniture we moved to its initial position, setting it on protective pads or foam tabs if necessary.” (Under after our visit, add as the second line down.) “All other furniture pieces moved by owner should not be returned until carpet is completely dry to insure furniture is not ruined.” I think this information is important for each future customer to read, can you please add it as a separate page on it’s own under the services tab. I’m just afraid people will miss that information under all the service areas we serve and furniture really does need to be moved before we arrive along with any messes being cleaned.

When have more time we would like the colors changed to a blue color and would like to have our “Carpet Express” logo kept on the website. Also on some of the pages the layout is different from the rest, sorry but I think it flows better when all pages have a similar layout: “about us” and “gallery” is missing the search box and tabs on right hand side; “services” is missing same boxes on right side and free estimate should be on left side; and “online quote” I would still like the search and tab boxes on right hand side.
Just a question, will the sitemap tab be on the actual website that customers see? It’s really kind of confusing… if it must stay up can we move it to the last tab.

#220 – Simon, if you put an email address just like that on the website it will get spammed. The “contact form” that we’ve created on the contact us page is a spam free from. It will still direct customer comments to your email address, but robots won’t pick it up an you won’t get spammed. You might think about deleting your email address from that page and just let clients use the contact form.
